We moved our Property Management System Mews
Mr Roger FosterWe moved our Property Management system from Little Hotelier by Siteminder to Mews at the start of 2024. This was a big mistake. Words fail me for how disappointed I am in their system. It promises much and delivers little. This evening I tried to login and am presented with the 'wheel of death' as I call it. Mews will not let me log in. I cannot count the number of times this has happened to me

Feedback is taken seriously, passed on and often even incorporated directly into product development. Nous étions sous Protel auparavant, le logiciel Opera a été écarté, je ne sais pour quelles raisons et nous voilà avec le pire logiciel de gestion qu'il m'ai été donné de voir!!! J'ai 35 ans de vie professionnelle à mon actif, ces mots ont donc de la profondeur!!! Mews est tout sauf intuitif, il fait perdre un temps fou et ne facilite pas le travail en frontdesk. Exemples, une dizaine de clics pour facturer un room service ou autre, format des listing en mode paysage, liste des clients présents total des personnes mais pas le total des chambres occupées, etc... Ma direction semble décidée à le garder, il doit être arrangeant pour la comptabilité et le marketing!???! Bref, je vais subir ce truc indigeste, c'est un réel stress, je ne sais pas si je tiendrai!!!???

Experience as a former employee
MajaAs an employee of this company, I faced serious bullying accompanied by se*ual harassment. I can substantiate all of this with the HR report that was issued to me following an investigation into this incident.I have tried to forget the whole matter. What was even more surprising to me recently was discovering that my former boss, who was aware of the matter, was now slandering me all over the place, claiming that I was the one causing the problems, etc., thereby tarnishing my reputation with other potential employers or clients. Unbelievable.I see from the reviews here and on Glassdoor that I'm not the only one who has had a similarly toxic experience with this company.btw, notice how many positive reviews have come in here - all within approx one month, some even on the same day, all written in a very "marketing" way. All this, despite the company having long-term reviews here that were largely negative. They now have a label at the top of the bar that reads, "May use unsupported invitation methods." So read what that means and make up your own mind.
Where to begin?
MeWhere to begin?Mews purports to have amazing features as a hotel PMS, but it is actually a highly circuitous system that overcomplicates basic tasks to make it seem as if these features exist. Room blocks are a joke, vouchers (coupon codes) take 15 minutes to create, and basic tasks such as housekeeping, guest check out, and billing require a minimum of 10 different clicks in specific locations to accomplish the task. Gift certificates? Non-existent. Guest communication? Rudimentary at best. Mews invoices? Unclear on what you are billed for. Customer service is the worst I have experienced with any PMS/LMS/POS or similar software, and I have onboarded two others for our business this year alone. Our account manager would simply ignore emails, and the emails that were responded to had response times of a week per email. Incredibly poor all around.
Finally, a PMS built for the 21st century.
VegardAfter working with a lot of PMS systems I can finally access the PMS on my iPhone from anywhere in the hotel, or anywhere in the world. Being able to support staff and guest in the moment is very important to be able to deliver a seamless guest experience at our hotel.

Efficient Proérty management system
Emilia Vieyraom different property management systems I have varely struggle with Mews system because of the layout of information from, guests, reservation and payment details can be found in different ways that you don´t need to follow specific steps to find regular information. This for example can be seen in the searching bar that filters from all reservations received with only one reference number or name. Specially the Action log shows you the latest modifications in every sectiondone by name and date. It is useful to keep on track procedures with guest that can take months to find out what happened when there is a miscommunication. It is valuable all information that can be found in few steps and the way it looks it is quite modern and professional, but at the same time I remember that for my learning process and getting to know it the layout, visualizing the reports the was so much information that it is not highlighted so may way of learning was remembering the steps to get there and not remember how it looks since most of the information is found in black, grey and white. Of course you cannot make a rainbow out of it but some information like prices and important notes can be highlited in a different way.

A scam ‘company’
Christopher MurtyA scam ‘company’. This morning Mews tried to take 4 individual payments from my card - all 4 varying amounts. Fortunately, my bank blocked all transactions and I’ve escalated to the financial ombudsman. I’ve never used Mews, haven’t booked a hotel in months and have no idea how they fraudulently got my card details.
